New year's update, a week late

So yeah...
My first Ohayocon behind an artist table came and went. Much better than I had anticipated I'll definitely say. Met many wonderful people, saw some great costumes and over all had a great time! Honestly I was kinda not looking forward to it. I've only ever had an art table once, and it was at a much smaller con than Ohayocon, let alone this was an anime convention. My stuff doesn't really... well... garner much attention at a place like Ohayocon. But I got many wonderful compliments and picked up a few commissions, so I was definitely proven wrong. I'm just sort of a shy person, especially about my artwork so I nervously set up shop with :iconwingedrose:, but it was a lot of fun. Thanks again to everyone who picked up a print or commission from me, it really means a lot. I'm in sort of a tough spot at the moment, and your support has really helped me out! Thanks!

I had faith in you. (^_^) I knew you could do it, because you're amazing. Whether you know it or not. Your work is the kind that you can really feel in your heart you know. Just kinda stand back and say, "wow". I have to tell you because it's true. So with that, Congrats! XD The one you did for Kennith was beautiful. One of my favorite colors too. (^_^) I am trying very hard to draw, because I am really not that good. But I want to try to develop some drawing skills. So yea, go you! x3

There was a pretty good plurality of furries there, I think. At least that I noticed : P It's a good bet many of them like anime, too, anyway. (Wait. Why else would they go to an anime con?...)

Yeah, there were quite a few, much more than there were in the past! I mean, I'm sure some were just trying to be cat girls, but there were so many! Lol!

And I appreciate the compliment. ^_^ You're stuff is pretty good too though. When you sketch with markers, do you lay down any sort of pencil line or just straight up marker?

Thanks, it does mean something to hear that. It's just still tough to shake the nervousness when I go out to display my artwork is all. ^_^;;

Well, currently, there are two things. (Relatively) Recently I was working with pens, so just went straight from pen sketches to markers.

I've been thinking of doing some pencils to pens to markers, but graphite doesn't do so well on marker paper. Need a light board or something

Slightly used felt tip pens are great because when used at an angle, they produce a very light line.

Well you certainly do a great job with them. I'd be way too nervous of making a mistake with only markers.
